Nadine Coyle: my new album will show off my vulnerable side as a mother

By Robert Dex

Former Girls Aloud star Nadine Coyle said her next solo album has been influenced by her new life as a mother and will show off her "vulnerable" side.

The Londonderry-born singer said her life has changed forever since the birth of her daughter, Anaiya, with partner Jason Bell.

"I can barely remember my old life at all. I think, 'What did I do? How did I get through 24 hours a day without a baby to look after?" she told Hello! magazine.

"Every minute is directed towards Anaiya. There are no similarities between my old life and where I am now."

The singer, who will tour the world with the show Lord Of The Dance: Dangerous Games next year, said she will not hold back on her new album. She said: "I'm really laying it all out there, which is scary. I'm making myself vulnerable. But having a baby forces you to live a bit more honestly."

Coyle, who now lives in California, is back together with Bell after the couple split up, and they are thinking about quiet wedding.

She said: "We do everything so big in my family so I think a much more intimate one would be perfect, perhaps a location wedding.

"We'll fly everyone out and have dinners and events planned for a whole weekend.

"Then it would be like, 'Oh, yeah, and we got married by the way'."

The star added she did not miss life as one fifth of Girls Aloud, saying: "It was a wonderful thing to spend my teens and early 20s doing, but I don't miss anything."
