Nathan Carter’s tour truck rescued from boggy pitch by locals in Co Laois

By Aoife Kelly

Nathan Carter had a bit of a tough time leaving the Ballyroan 2017 Festival in Co Laois a few days ago as his tour truck got stuck on a GAA pitch.

The country singer featured on a line-up including Derek Ryan, Cliona Hagan, and Lisa McHugh at the event which ran over the weekend.

Given the rather rainy weather it's no surprise that the pitch became a little boggy and the truck became well and truly stuck.

However, Nathan posted a video of some local tractor owners coming to his rescue by towing the tour truck back to dry land.

It seems some other festival goers may also have had difficulty with cars emerging from the mud as they commented: "We weren't the only ones stuck last nyt!!!"

Another quick-witted commenter quipped: "Someone's finally pulled Nathan Carter."
