Liam Neeson has been talking about the death of his actress wife Natasha Richardson and how he has dealt with his grief.
Actress Natasha died almost two years ago, at the age of 45, from head injuries following a skiing accident in Canada.
Her actor husband has revealed he was initially unable to see his dying wife because no-one at the hospital knew who he was.
The Clash Of The Titans star told the US edition of Esquire magazine: "I walked into the emergency... and for the first time in years, nobody recognises me. Not the nurses. The patients. No-one... and they won't let me see her."
Liam, 58, went outside the Montreal hospital and found two nurses having a cigarette.
He said: "I walk up, and luckily one of them recognises me. And I'll tell you, I was so f****** grateful - for the first time in I don't know how long - to be recognised... So I get there just in time."
When Liam found Natasha he was told "the worst".
The Hollywood star told the March issue of the magazine that the grief still hits him "in the middle of the night" and added of going back to work: "I think I survived by running away some."
