Northern Ireland actors absent from new Game of Thrones stamp set

By Jackie Bell

A new set of Game of Thrones stamps to mark "the significant British contribution to the production of the series" features no actors from Northern Ireland.

The set of 15 bespoke first class stamps have gone on sale today.

The inclusion of characters such as Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) and Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) means these stamps will see two queens' heads on some of the set.

However, although the show is mostly filmed in Northern Ireland, there are no actors from here on the stamps.

One fan said: "The stamps are gorgeous, but it's a pity that no local stars feature, such as Kristian Nairn, whose character Hodor is a firm favourite."

The stamps are available at, Post Office branches or by calling 03457 641 641.
