Northern Ireland venues to host Britain's Got Talent auditions

Britain's Got Talent will be on the hunt for the next big thing at two Northern Ireland venues next month.

Preliminary auditions will take place at Fairhill Shopping Centre in Ballymena on Tuesday, November 7 from 12pm-4pm.

The centre's managers have said the auditions will take place in the old HMV unit opposite Debenhams.

Meanwhile, CastleCourt Shopping Centre in Belfast will also host auditions on Friday, November 17  from 11am - 5pm.

Under 16s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

During the upcoming BGT auditions, hopefuls will perform for the show's producers.

They will then decide whether or not each auditionee will be put forward to perform for judges Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon, Amanda Holden and David Walliams.

The 2017 Britain Got Talent title was won by 33-year-old musician Tokio Myers, who received £250,000 and a spot in the Royal Variety Performance.

Two Northern Ireland acts made the live semi-final shows - St Patrick’s Primary School  Junior Choir, from Rathfriland, Co Down and Omagh man Ryan Tracey who attempted to break the world balloon modelling record while blindfolded.

Britain's Got Talent will return to ITV in 2018.
