Olivia Wilde opens up about divorce

Olivia Wilde has revealed getting divorced at a young age helped her to "be honest" with herself.

The 27-year-old actress split from documentary filmmaker Tao Ruspoli in October after eight years of marriage, but revealed although it has been tough she can see there are a couple of positives, reports People.

The House star told Town & Country magazine: "When you go through a break up, you lose faith for a while.

"It makes you feel like such a failure, but I think this whole traumatic year has made me a better actor.

"And the good thing about getting divorced young - if there is a good thing - is that it makes you realise there's no schedule in life. It blasts you wide open and frees you to be honest with yourself."

Olivia, who is now rumoured to be dating Saturday Night Live star Jason Sudeikis, thinks one of the problems of marrying young is that you may change as you get older.

"The danger is that you evolve over the years and find yourself in a different place," said the Cowboys And Aliens star.
