Original Love Islander Paul Danan signs up for Celebrity Big Brother - report
Sarah Harding, Helen Lederer and Jordan Davies are among the other famous faces rumoured to have signed up for the Channel 5 show.
Former Hollyoaks star Paul Danan is reported to have signed up for the new series of Celebrity Big Brother.
The actor first found fame on the Channel 4 soap before appearing on the original series Celebrity Love Island in 2005. He won over viewers with his hilarious antics on the programme, which included him falling for Lady Victoria Hervey, before his drunken behaviour led to him being removed from the show. He then returned the following year but had even less success and spent most of his time on the programme crying after frequent rows with Sophie Anderton.
He also hit headlines the next year when he was fired from a pantomime after shouting at the audience of children to "make some f**king noise".
Now Paul is said to be gearing up to make his reality TV comeback after 11 years, after having agreed to appear on the next season of Celebrity Big Brother.
And, according to The Sun newspaper, bosses are hoping Paul's alter-ego "Dangerous Danan" will make his comeback in the house.
"Paul’s name has been bandied around the Celebrity Big Brother team ever since Love Island returned to our screens," an insider told the publication. "He was completely bonkers on that in 2005 so producers think he will be a great addition to CBB.
“They’re hoping he’ll bring a bit of the old Love Island vibe to the house and stir up some mischief. It should be an explosive series with him on board."
According to reports, Paul will be joining other stars including former Girls Aloud star Sarah Harding, Absolutely Fabulous star Helen Lederer and Megan McKenna's ex-boyfriend Jordan Davies.
