As a large part of the filming takes place in Northern Ireland - fans of the show have been lucky to bump into the cast.

The penultimate season will be broadcast a little later in summer next year.

The eighth and final season is expected to follow in 2018.

The most recent sighting in Northern Ireland was Maisie Williams who plays Ayra Stark along with on-screen sister Sansa Stark played by actress Sophie Turner.

Not much is known about the final seasons of the show, apart from the fact that they will be shorter in length than the previous six seasons.

Maisie who landed her first Emmy nomination for her role as orphan-turned-assassin Stark, spoke previously about how she thinks the show should end.

"It needs to happen organically. Everything that’s happened in my career so far has happened really organically, and that’s the thing I’m going to take with me.

"But when the time is right, I know I’ll be able, as an actor, to create a new character and have the confidence to do that."
