Pregnant Cara De La Hoyde hasn't ruled out reuniting with Nathan Massey
Cara De La Hoyde has backed Marcel Somerville and Gabby Allen to win this year's Love Island.
Cara De La Hoyde hasn't ruled out a reconciliation with baby daddy Nathan Massey in the future, admitting it would be "lovely to have a little family".
The brunette won the last series of Love Island with Nathan, and the pair went on to enjoy their relationship after returning home from the villa in Mallorca. But after Cara found out she was pregnant, she and Nathan decided to call time on their romance, with the former circus performer admitting it is healthier for the baby to be away from such a "volatile" relationship.
However, Cara hasn't ruled out rekindling her romance with Nathan in the future, saying during an interview on This Morning on Tuesday (20Jun17): "We (Cara and Nathan) are really good, we’re constantly in contact, he knows everything that he needs to know... He was very shocked (about the baby), just the same as I was, and we tried to make it work, but sometimes it’s better for the baby not to be in that volatile relationship."
And asked if she saw a future with Nathan, Cara responded: "Of course, it’d be lovely to have a little family and look back and show our kid where we met.”
Cara also had some advice for the contestants on this year's show, with the current season of the ITV2 programme the most successful to date.
"Looking back on it now, my main bit of advice for everyone is when you come out, don’t rush things, because you think that you know each other so well," she advised. "And we jumped in head first and lived together, we’ve still got so much love for each other, but everything happened so quickly and I think it ruined it."
When it comes to those vying to win the £50,000 grand prize, Cara has tipped Marcel Somerville and Gabby Allen to emerge victorious.
She also played coy when asked about rumours she might become a regular cast member on The Only Way Is Essex, replying: "Maybe, obviously they’re on holiday at the moment, they’ve jetted off everywhere, so you’ll have to watch this space. There’s room for a little yummy mummy. You never know."
