Ant McPartlin will join co-host Declan Donnelly in filming Britain's Got Talent auditions in the new year.

The Sun reported that the 43-year-old has been cleared to return to work in January following a stint in rehab.

Ant checked into a private rehab clinic earlier this year after pleading guilty to drink-driving, and announced he would be taking a break from work commitments.

He was banned from the road for 20 months and fined £86,000 for driving while more than twice the legal limit.

The TV presenter announced in August he would be taking a break from television presenting duties until 2019 and added that he and presenting partner Dec had made a “joint decision” not to present a new series of Saturday Night Takeaway next year.

Ant's break from presenting work saw him replaced by close friend Holly Willoughby on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here.

Dec hosted the final episodes of ITV series Saturday Night Takeaway without Ant earlier this year.
