Ricky's Emmy advice for Fallon
Ricky Gervais has emailed this year's Emmy Awards host, Jimmy Fallon, to offer his support.
The US talk show host revealed that Ricky, who hosted the show last year, has been in touch this week.
"Ricky has emailed me and given me some advice," Jimmy explained at the LA premiere of Drew Barrymore's new film Going The Distance.
"He'll be presenting at this year's Emmys and I already know his bit is very funny," he promised.
The popular late-night host jokingly added: "We're going to have an ice cold beer as soon as it's over with, so it doesn't matter what's going to happen!"
Jimmy said we should expect some different TV shows to make their mark at this year's ceremony.
"There are going to be a lot of new shows - Modern Family, Glee - those are going to show up this year. It's just going to be something very different but I can't wait," he said.
For now Jimmy joked he's trying to get the perfect Hollywood tan in time for the ceremony.
"I'm trying to get a tan while I'm out here, because I'm from New York, and it's very hard for an Irish guy to get a tan. I'm out by the pool, my face is turning red like a lobster, but I'm very excited. This Sunday all the TV stars will be coming out, I think its going to be a good show," he said.
The Primetime Emmy Awards will be presented at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles and broadcast live in the US on NBC.
