Rita Ora turns down X Factor job
Rita Ora has reportedly turned a £1 million pound offer to become a judge on The X Factor.
The Mirror reports that Simon Cowell was keen to get the Hot Right Now singer on the panel as part of his latest revamp of the flagging ITV talent show this year and offered her the massive pay deal.
Rita, 23, is said to have been flattered by the offer, made a fortnight ago, but turned it down as she worried the role could damage her singing career.
The British singer-songwriter - who is currently in LA filming the music video for her new single I Will Never Let You Down, featuring her DJ boyfriend Calvin Harris, admitted previously she had been in talks with the show, but wanted to focus on her singing career.
She said: "There were talks. But if I were to take on that role, it would have to be at a point when I could give it my full attention.
"I have so much to accomplish first and it's kind of a full-time job being on X Factor. It's not like a nine to five. It's constant, for months."
Simon is returning to the judging panel this year after The X Factor USA failed to take off across the Atlantic.
It is thought original judge and close friend Louis Walsh will join him, but Gary Barlow and Nicole Scherzinger have both confirmed they will not reprise their roles on the panel.
