Rod looking forward to grandchild
Rod Stewart says he's looking forward to becoming a grandfather
"Yeah, it's going to be good," he reluctantly admitted in Hollywood
The 66-year-old rocker was out to celebrate being honoured by Ascap (the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers) for his contribution to the music industry.
His daughter Kimberly recently revealed she's expecting a baby with Oscar-winning actor Benicio Del Torro. The pair are not currently a couple.
Speaking about the pregnancy, Rod said he hadn't offered his daughter any parenting advice but insisted the whole family is always "very united".
"They were all around my house today, I'm very proud of them, the fruit of my loins," he laughed.
After welcoming his new son Aiden to the family in February, the singer, who's just finished a tour of the States, admitted he and wife Penny Lancaster have struggled to get any rest.
"Penny and I had a good arrangement, she said if the baby wakes up you can go and sleep in the other room and he's up every two hours now so a few nights a week to get my sleep, I sleep in another room."
"But he's great," Rod insisted. "He's a good looker, all my kids are wonderfully handsome!"
