Rosie H-W's essential trench coat
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley has confessed she loves to throw on her Burberry trench coats and not think about what she's wearing underneath.
The model and actress - who in the new advert for perfume Burberry Body lies naked in nothing but an open trench coat - was among the many celebrities who attended the much-hyped Burberry Prorsum show at London Fashion Week.
Rosie said: "[Head designer Christopher Bailey] makes a great coat so being English, you're always going for your coat whatever time of the year and I think that's something he does really well.
"I have a lot of trench coats and they're all different. Every single one is reinvented from the last season and I love wearing them. They're just the throw on and you don't have to think about it, they're great."
The Burberry show is the week-long fashion extravaganza's glitziest production, and drew a well-groomed crowd of celebrities including Kanye West, actresses Sienna Miller and Gemma Arterton, and tennis star Andy Murray.
Bailey, who has been at the helm of the historic British brand's designs for a decade, has been credited with revitalising the once-fusty fashion house and boosting its international style credentials.
The classic waterproof trench - a Victorian-era innovation credited to brand founder Thomas Burberry - appeared variously in a slim-cut, buttery turquoise leather version, or with a feminine, cinched-in and full-skirted silhouette reminiscent of Christian Dior's New Look shape in the 1950s.
"I thought it was fabulous," a smiling Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour said, before disappearing into the crowds.
