R-Patz, Stewart to meet at awards?
Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart look set for their first public encounter since the actress' cheating scandal broke.
The Twilight couple - whose romance is thought to be on the rocks after Kristen confessed to a fling with married director Rupert Sanders - are expected to be reunited next month as they are due to present trophies at the MTV Video Music Awards in LA, reported the Daily Mirror.
An insider said the event could be "a real embarrassment", and added: "The idea was for them to jointly present awards but that is looking unlikely now.
"If they go up on stage at the same time fans will believe they are united again. If Kristen goes up alone the crowd reaction will be astonishing. Fans have bought into the romance on and off screen so she could be in for a horrible night."
Earlier this week R-Patz, who reportedly moved out of the couple's home after pictures of Kristen with Rupert emerged, returned to the spotlight for a series of media appearances, including a chat on US programme The Daily Show.
While he dodged host Jon Stewart's questions about his relationship, it has been reported that he was "devastated" when he discovered that Kristen had cheated on him.
The actress has also kept a low profile after admitting to her fling with her Snow White And The Huntsman director, which she referred to as a "momentary indiscretion" in a statement apologising for her actions.
