R-Patz: Won't sell my personal life
Robert Pattinson remained tight-lipped about Kristen Stewart's cheating scandal and insisted he wasn't interested in publicising his personal life during his latest appearance on US TV.
The heartthrob actor was interviewed on Good Morning America to promote his new film Cosmopolis but again skirted questions about his Twilight co-star, who he is thought to have split from after it emerged that she had a fling with married director Rupert Sanders.
Asked by host George Stephanopoulos to address the "elephant in the room", R-Patz appeared flustered and started discussing the cereal George had just given him as a gift.
But the star opened up slightly when asked how he copes with the personal questions in media interviews.
"I'm never been interested in trying to sell my personal life," he said. "The reason why you go onto TV is to promote movies."
He also responded when George suggested he seemed to be doing okay, replying: "Yeah, yeah."
Robert has kept a low profile since Kristen confessed to a "momentary indiscretion" with her Snow White And The Huntsman director but made his first public appearance this week when he appeared on American programme The Daily Show.
He dodged host Jon Stewart's questions about his relationship and said: "My biggest problem in my life is that I'm cheap. I didn't hire a publicist and every awkward interview, most actors have things scripted. I'm going to hire a publicist."
He also refused to be drawn on the subject when Jon presented him with a tub of ice-cream and joked: "The last time I had a bad break-up, Ben & Jerry's got me through the tough times, so I thought you and I could talk about things?"
