Sarah Harding rants about Fifth Harmony on Celebrity Big Brother
Sarah Harding isn't impressed by Fifth Harmony's sexy dance routines.
Former Girls Aloud star Sarah Harding has hit out at girlbands such as Fifth Harmony during a chat on Celebrity Big Brother.
The 35-year-old singer was part of the group alongside Cheryl, Nadine Coyle, Kimberley Walsh and Nicola Roberts. And while Girls Aloud are no longer making a mark on the music industry, Sarah still has a strong opinion about her successors today.
During a chat with romantic interest Chad Johnson in the Celebrity Big Brother house, the former The Bachelorette star asked Sarah if she had heard of U.S. band Fifth Harmony.
"Um, yes, those slutty ones? Yeah," Sarah said. "They all wear next to nothing, all the modern girl bands do. Slutty, slutty, slutty. It’s just 'sex sells, sex sells'."
Pre-empting the criticism that Girls Aloud also wore some skimpy ensembles during their time in the spotlight, Sarah added that they "didn’t wear much but only because it was so hot".
She also slammed the dance routines that groups like Fifth Harmony perform these days, continuing in her rant: "We used to have proper dance routines now it’s just slut dropping and twerking."
It's not the first time Sarah has spoken about her time with Girls Aloud while in the Celebrity Big Brother house. She previously admitted that she struggled to master the group's complicated dance routines, telling Chad: "I wasn’t as dance trained as three of the other girls, two of us were more singers than dancers so I used to do extra time with my routines.
"Tour rehearsals for me were so tough. I used to have a mini meltdown at some point during every four weeks. Everyone would be dreading, like 'oh God here we go, Sarah’s going to have a little meltdown when she can’t pick up the routine'."
