Scarlett Moffatt crowned queen of the jungle
Scarlett Moffatt beat comedian Joel Dommett and Coronation Street star Adam Thomas to be crowned queen of the jungle.
Scarlett Moffatt has been named the winner of this year's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!.
The Gogglebox star has been delighting fans of the show with her quick and witty remarks, and faced off against Coronation Street star Adam Thomas and comedian Joel Dommett in Sunday night's (04Dec16) final.
After Adam was voted off in third position and Joel was second, Scarlett was crowned queen of the jungle and told hosts Ant and Dec she couldn't believe her victory.
"It was just amazing. Just unreal. It’s exceeded my expectations," she said of her experience in the camp. "I’ve never felt so happy, which is weird because I hate camping, but I’m gonna miss waking up and hearing everyone chatting. Sat with people like Carol Vorderman…like what? Just amazing."
Following her win, stars including Cheryl, Phillip Schofield and Scarlett's Gogglebox co-star Kate Bottley took to Twitter to congratulate her.
And it wasn't long before Scarlett herself tweeted, thanking her fans for their backing: "Thank you so much everyone for all your support. I feel so accepted and loved. Thanks for making all of my dreams come true."
Now she has won the show, Scarlett is said to be in line for a £1 million payday. As well as her fitness DVD, book bosses are apparently keen for her to write an autobiography, while she is also said to be in talks for her own TV show.
"There has even been talk of her fronting her own TV show. Scarlett will be ecstatic. She went into the jungle in the hope that it would lead to TV work," a source told The Sun newspaper. "This is her chance to go from someone known for watching TV on her sofa to someone known for being on TV in her own right."
There has been some controversy about Scarlett's win though. Some fans accused ITV of fixing her victory, after seemingly promoting Scarlett over the other finalists with a tweet on their official page.
