Scarlett Moffatt: 'I want to claim my part on TV'

Scarlett Moffatt loves seeing strong female role models in films, and is a big fan of Rogue One's Jyn.

Scarlett Moffatt has made it her mission to conquer the television world after emerging victorious on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!.

The 26-year-old reality star was just one of the names attending the launch of Disneyland Paris’ new Star Wars celebration Season Of The Force, which runs until end of March (17).

As she enjoyed the unforgettable galactic experience at the theme park, Scarlett also opened up about her hopes and dreams for the future.

In addition to rising to TV stardom on Gogglebox, Scarlett was named winner of the last series of I'm A Celebrity... and has also released her own best-selling fitness and weight loss DVD. But she's not stopping there.

"I would love to carry on doing presenting, I’ve got lots of exciting things coming up and I really want to claim my part on TV so people think 'that’s Scarlett Moffatt! She’s really good!' That’s the dream," she said.

Star Wars has enjoyed a revival in popularity in recent years with the release of Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens and stand-alone film Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

Both have strong female characters, Daisy Ridley's Rey and Felicity Jones' Jyn respectively, and that's something Scarlett finds incredibly important in today's day and age.

"You can love Disney and still be a feminist and I think Disney now, especially with Star Wars where there are so many strong female characters – I think it’s great!" she said. "I think it’s shown young girls that they can be strong and powerful."

Scarlett thinks she would fare well in the Star Wars universe herself as well, considering everything she undertook in the Australian jungle.

"I’ve done some pretty gruesome things when I was on I’m A Celebrity, I ate fermented eggs, I went into the 'Cavern of Claws' with loads of rats. I feel that, if I was in the Star Wars galaxy I think I’ll be all right, I think I’d do all right with Jedi Training," she smiled.

Season Of The Force at Disneyland Paris is on now until 26 March and is an unforgettable galactic experience that celebrates the entire saga of Star Wars.
