Scarlett Moffatt lands presenting job on I'm A Celebrity spin-off

Scarlett Moffatt has come a long way since her days watching television on Channel 4's Gogglebox.

Scarlett Moffatt has reportedly landed a hosting job on the I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! spin-off.

The former Gogglebox star and queen of the jungle has enjoyed a hugely successful presenting career since leaving the Channel 4 series, with gigs on shows such as Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway and the revamped Streetmate.

And now The Sun reports she will be heading out to Australia in the coming months to front the new series of ITV2 programme Extra Camp.

According to the newspaper, Scarlett will replace fellow Northern stars Vicky Pattison and Chris Ramsey, who were both axed from the show after just one year.

"This is a huge gig for Scarlett and one she’s worked hard to get," a source told the publication. "Last year’s show was just a bit too chaotic for producers, so they wanted to switch things up."

The remainder of the line-up for the show has yet to be confirmed. Joe Swash has presented the spin-off show since 2009, and last year was joined on screen by girlfriend Stacey Solomon, and bosses are said to be considering keeping the real-life couple on the series.

"The current plan is to have Scarlett host the show alongside two other presenters," the insider added. "At the moment that is most likely to see Stacey return with her boyfriend Joe as they were happy with them last time round.

"It’s a massive test for Scarlett but ITV were chuffed with her in the jungle and the job she did on Ant And Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway so think she’s well worth the punt."

Scarlett is expected to jet to Australia this November and stay there for the duration of the show.
