Schofield: I'm nosy on Mr And Mrs

Phillip Schofield has revealed that he likes being the question master on All Star Mr And Mrs - because it indulges his inquisitive side.

The TV presenter, who returns to host the sixth series of the ITV game show from June 11, admitted he enjoys getting to ask "questions which are so impertinent that you wouldn't get away with them anywhere else!"

"People are so honest because they're doing it for charity. It's amazing how many sleeping habits and cleansing habits partners are happy to discuss," he told TV Times.

"For example, in show one, we learn that Brian McFadden has never used a washing machine.

"I'm also genuinely nosy and like finding out about peoples' lives and what they're like off screen."

Phillip admitted playing the game at home with his family once caused an argument.

"We played the Mr And Mrs board game at home one Christmas and members of our family - it wasn't my wife Steph and I - ended up in a huge row. I jumped in saying we're not playing this again! People take it terribly seriously," he said.

The 52-year-old, who hosts This Morning with Holly Willoughby, also revealed how he'd like to beat Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan's record on the show's sofa.

"It will be my 12th year in September. Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan did 13 years and now there's that little bit of something in me that says, 'I'd like to beat that!'," he added.
