Scorsese-directed drama Vinyl axed after one season
Sir Mick Jagger and Martin Scorsese's music business-set drama Vinyl has been cancelled by HBO after one season.
The US cable network had previously picked up Vinyl for a second season just after its February premiere episode, which was directed by Scorsese.
But HBO - the broadcaster behind Game of Thrones, which it films in Northern Ireland - has now reversed its position and said in a statement on Wednesday that it was not "an easy decision" to make.
The broadcaster said: "After careful consideration, we have decided not to proceed with a second season of Vinyl.
"Obviously, this was not an easy decision."
