Serinda Swan: I'm still same girl

Serinda Swan has revealed that she doesn't really want people to see her as a star.

The 29-year-old, who has appeared in American TV shows like Breakout Kings, Smallville and the upcoming Graceland, admitted more people are starting to recognise the cast when they shoot on location on the beach, after the first series aired in the States.

"A lot of people weren't aware of us before, because it was our first season. Now we've actually done the first season, the people I met at the park who have my information so we can walk our dogs together are like, 'Wait, you're in a TV show'," she said.

"I'm like, 'Don't go crazy. I just have a job that has a little more of a spotlight'. That's it. I'm still 'park girl'. It's now starting to get a little more oomph, but we love it. We get excited to see people as they are to see us."

Serinda, who plays agent Paige Arkin, said it is "fun" portraying a feisty, assertive character.

" It's so much fun. We get to kick a**, shoot, jump and dive, and we flirt and surf. It's not this man show with girl arm candy, it's very equal. It's probably one of the best looking casts on TV. So as a female, it's a very fun role to play," she revealed.

Graceland, which has already been renewed for a second season, begins on September 27 on the Universal Channel.

"They can expect everything that they think; at the same time, nothing is going to happen as they think," the actress teased.

"It's one of those bizarre shows with twists and turns, and about the fifth episode, it changes into a completely different show. It's insane. It just takes a nosedive in a very wonderful way."
