Strictly Come Dancing contestant Peter Shilton has hit back at show judge Craig Revel Horwood and told him: "Don't accuse me of dropping things."
It came after the no-nonsense judge said the former goalie let his partner Erin Boag slip through his fingers on Saturday night's BBC One show.
Erin was seen sliding from nervous Peter's arms and snaking through his legs at the end of their performance at the weekend.
Craig told the former England star: "At the end it looked like you dropped Erin rather than it being a gorgeous moment."
But Peter has responded to the judge's claims to assure him he had steady hands - as his international career showed.
"I don't mind Craig criticising my dancing but don't accuse me of dropping things," he said.
"I didn't drop too many footballs in my England career and I certainly didn't drop Erin."
