Singer Rita Ora pulls out hours before gig
Pop sensation Rita Ora pulled out of a live performance in front of 8,000 people last night after suddenly taking ill.
The singing star had been due to perform for race-goers at an evening race meeting at Haydock Park on Merseyside.
But a statement from her management just hours before the gig said: "Rita loves nothing more than performing live so is devastated her doctors have insisted on her not performing this weekend.
"She hopes to see you all soon."
The 22-year-old London-based performer was just this week seen to be fighting fit and pictured training with boxing star David Haye at his gym.
Haydock refunded part of the entrance fee to compensate for the live music element of the evening not taking place.
