Sneak peek at new Game Of Thrones

By Steven Alexander

NEW photographs from the set of Game Of Thrones have given fans a tantalising glimpse of season four of the epic fantasy.

It may be more than two months before it hits our screens, but the hype surrounding the swords, sex and sorcery drama shot in Northern Ireland is well under way.

While fans are used to seeing stunning blonde Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) pout for publicity shots, the latest HBO photos also reveal some new faces.

Daario Naharis (now played by Treme star Michiel Huisman) has a bigger role in season four as Daenerys' love interest. How he copes with her growing dragons remains to be seen.

We also get to see Oberyn Martell (Pedro Pascal) – the charming yet dangerous Red Viper – and Ellaria Sand (Indira Varma) arrive in King's Landing.

Familiar faces returning include swordsman The Hound, played by Scot Rory McCann, who will resume his role as the burly babysitter to orphaned Arya Stark (Maisie Williams).

One of the most loathed characters on TV, the despised and cruel King Joffrey (Jack Gleeson), will return, torturing the good and slaughtering the innocent. Tywin Lannister (Charles Dance) will continue to be his right-hand man.

Meanwhile, domestic woes continue for fan favourite Tyrion (Peter Dinklage) and his secret girlfriend Shae (Sibel Kekilli), as the Lannister dwarf is forced to marry Sansa Stark.
