Sofia Richie talks 'special relationship' with Justin Bieber
Sofia Richie isn't worried what people say about her, as long as she is happy.
Sofia Richie has opened up about the "special relationship" she has with boyfriend Justin Bieber.
The 18-year-old daughter of crooner Lionel, who recently modelled for Kanye West's Yeezy Season 4 show, went public with her romance with Sorry singer Justin last month (Aug16), and the pair have been packing on the PDA on several occasions since.
While Justin has been linked to his fair share of celebrities, including his ex Selena Gomez, Sofia is new to the world of dating a famous face. However, she has faith that her romance with Justin will go to the distance, because he's so unique.
"We have a special relationship. Justin is very easy to talk to, and that's hard to find with people in Los Angeles," she smiled during a chat with Billboard.
Sofia's romance with Justin hasn't been all plain sailing though. After Justin posted several pictures of Sofia to his Instagram account, he was attacked with vile comments about his lady love from online trolls. The remarks led to Justin deleting his Instagram account in support of Sofia, but she insists she's not worried about what people say about her.
"I remember the paparazzi and the s**t people would say to Nicole (Richie, her sister), and she wouldn't respond," Sofia continued. "I'm going to be real with you: It. Doesn't. Bother. Me. As long as I'm happy."
It makes sense that Sofia is dating a musician, as she has grown up around people in the industry. The daughter of Lionel and his dancer ex-wife Diane Alexander, Sofia is currently working on her own music, and her famous father is doing his best to influence her sound.
"One night he intercoms me, like, 'Come have dinner in the studio,'" she recalled. "So I go down and it's my dad and Pharrell Williams. I'm like, 'I can't just sit here and casually have a dinner with you two! I'm so sorry, I've got to go back upstairs.'"
While Sofia credits Lionel for being a huge inspiration in her life, she admits she’s looking forward to not living with him anymore and is currently eyeing up her own place.
"It's time to go!" she laughed.
