Stacey crowned queen of the jungle

Stacey Solomon has been crowned queen of the jungle in this year's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! final.

The former X Factor contestant was for once speechless, as she hugged runner-up Shaun Ryder and presenters Ant and Dec.

Earlier she had said she had the "time of her life" during her jungle adventure. Asked about making it to the final she said: "It's the best feeling in the world."

She also paid tribute to former Happy Mondays frontman Shaun, saying: "He's such a nice bloke and he's so normal. It was nice to spend my final hours with sanity."

Stacey was favourite to win the show after being praised by her fellow campmates. Dom Joly said of her: "She's one of the most extraordinary people I've ever met," while Aggro Santos said: "She's so determined. I don't think there's anything that could faze her."

She was a positive force around camp, and had no qualms about taking part in bushtucker trials.

She joined forces with Aggro for her Super Scario trial, in which they won a full compliment of stars. She also had to face being suspended off the side of a cliff in a bus, and ate pig's brains and "kagarude" bits.

The Dagenham mum also provided one of the funniest moments of the series when she threw a stone at Dom during their "spy task".

Runner-up Shaun said he was surprised to make the final, saying he didn't expect to last more than a week. Asked about his time in the jungle, he said it was "immensely enjoyable".

Before the winner was announced, the pair successfully faced a final live trial, when they had to endure treatments in the Bush Spa, including having critters poured over their heads and bug facials.
