Screen beauty Rosie Huntington-Whiteley has revealed her tough-guy boyfriend Jason Statham sent her protective padding - as a "romantic" present.
The 25-year-old model-turned-actress - who has dated The Expendables star Statham for more than two years - told chat show host Jonathan Ross how her action roles had left her black and blue.
Huntington-Whiteley made her acting debut in Transformers: Dark of the Moon last year and will next appear in action movie Mad Max: Fury Road.
She told Ross: "I loved doing all the stunts. My stunt double had a very quiet six months."
But fortunately, her 44-year-old beau came to her rescue after hearing of her aches.
"He was filming in Australia at the time and he said: 'Babe, you've got to wear stunt pads.' I was covered head-to-toe in bruises and about a week later a little package arrived with razor-thin gel stunt pads. That's quite romantic."
The Burberry model - who has just launched her own Marks & Spencer lingerie range - also opened up about her experience of being bullied at school, and revealed she has the last laugh now.
"I got a little bit of a hard time, but who didn't? I got teased. I was tiny at school. I was the shortest at school until I was about 14, so I got called Titch and I was rather flat chested."
