Steve Backshall has admitted he is not daunted by filming his new animal show Live 'N' Deadly live.

"I'm not worried about it, in fact, I'm really excited - the thing with filming animals is that you can't ask for another take anyway, so it may as well be live," said the Really Wild Show presenter.

"We can't just say, 'That's not good enough, take two'. If an animal decides to go to the toilet down my leg, we'll just make a feature of it!" he added.

Steve declares he isn't scared of animals - except stampeding elephants.

"I don't have an irrational fear of any animal," he stated.

"I think animals pose less of a threat to humans than the press will have us believe. You're more likely to be hit by a car than you are to be attacked by an animal."

:: Live 'N' Deadly begins on BBC Two on September 11, and the Live 'N' Deadly roadshow will tour the country from September 12.
