Stormzy makes surprise appearance on Love Island

Stormzy appeared on Love Island to give Blazin' Squad 2.0 some advice on their rap for the programme's talent show.

Rapper Stormzy made a surprise appearance on ITV2's Love Island on Thursday night's (20Jul17) show.

The musician had already had an impact on a former episode when a tweet he made referencing Chris Hughes being "too good" for Olivia Attwood was read out as part of a couple's task in the villa. The Twitter message led to a huge argument between Olivia and Chris, who almost called it a day for their relationship as a result of the row.

And Stormzy made another appearance on the programme on Thursday - much to the delight of the villa residents.

As Chris, Kem Cetinay and Marcel Somerville were gearing up for their performance as Blazin' Squad 2.0 for the Love Island 2017 talent show, rehearsing their lyrics in the living room, when Stormzy suddenly appeared on the screen.

Stunned by the rapper's virtual visit, Kem laughed, "Oh my days oh my days what the f**k?!", before Stormzy then told the trio: "I came to give you some advice about the raps." He then advised the boys not to rely on their phones for lyric prompting them when they perform, before giving Marcel a shout out for "smashing production".

As Stormzy chatted to the boys, Olivia and Amber were in their beds, and rushed in to see what was happening after hearing an unknown voice.

Confronting Stormzy about his tweet, Olivia slyly said: "Oh hey babe", to which the stunned rapper laughed: "No Liv oh jeez. Yo Liv no hard feelings man no hard feelings."

Later in the Beach Hut, Olivia mused: "I think he was a little bit awkward to see me - just a touch."

And reflecting on the star's appearance later, Chris laughed: "My head's gone!"
