Strachan joins Autumnwatch Live

Michaela Strachan is joining the BBC's Autumnwatch Live as a replacement for Kate Humble.

The move means the star will be reunited with her former Really Wild Show co-host Chris Packham who took over the reins from Bill Oddie in 2009.

Michaela, who has also had stints on Countryfile, will appear alongside Chris and Martin Hughes-Games.

She said: "I am really excited to be joining the Autumnwatch Live team, it's a great opportunity to take a close look at the UK's amazing wildlife across the season. It's always such a pleasure making programmes for an appreciative audience and I know that Autumnwatch has such loyal and enthusiastic viewers. I'm looking forward to working with Martin, and being reunited with Chris - he has such incredible knowledge and we've always had a great relationship."
