Strictly Come Dancing Live Tour returns to Belfast with champ Ore Oduba at the helm

The Strictly Come Dancing Live Tour will return to Belfast in 2018, with current champion Ore Oduba set to host proceedings.

The huge spectacle will take over the SSE Arena from January 30-31. Tickets will go on sale from Friday, September 22 at 8am.

The new live tour will include 30 performances in total across the UK, with dates scheduled for Newcastle, Leeds, Manchester, Glasgow, Nottingham and Wembley, finishing in London’s O2 Arena on February 11.

Speaking about his new presenting gig, Oduba said: "Winning Strictly was the most unforgettable experience and a dream come true. I’m so thrilled that I get to keep that dream alive and take part in the Strictly live tour once again, this time as host.

"This show and its fans will always hold a special place in my heart so I can't wait to travel the UK again and meet the fantastic audiences that make Strictly the phenomenon we know and love.”

The sports presenter won the 2016 competition with the help of professional dance Joanne Clifton.

Meanwhile, Strictly judge Craig Revel Horwood will be directing the live shows for the eighth year, and will be appearing alongside fellow panelist Bruno Tonioli.

A cast of celebrities and professional dancers will also be present throughout the tour with announcements to be made in the coming months.

Revel Horwood said:  “I'm delighted to be back directing and judging the 2018 tour.

"I have lots of new surprises up my sleeve - next year is going to be bigger and better than ever before. With Ore as host and a new judging panel too, this tour will be just FAB-U-LOUS!"

Tonioli added: "I'm delighted to be returning to the Strictly Live shows next year. I’ve missed the huge audiences around the country and I can't wait to be back on tour – it’s going to be fantastico!”

The tour announcement comes as the new series of Strictly Come Dancing kicks off this week with 15 new celebrities set to compete for the Glitterball trophy.

Among the line up hoping to succeed Oduba as the dancing champion are Ruth Langsford, Gemma Atkinson, Aston Merrygold, Brian Conley, and Alexandra Burke.

The current cast were paired up with their professional dance partners during the series launch show earlier this month.

They will perform their first routine on the dance floor this Saturday evening.
