Styles responds to Swifts VMA jibe
Harry Styles has brushed off Taylor Swift's apparent dig at him during her MTV Video Music Awards acceptance speech.
When accepting the gong for best female video for her hit I Knew You Were Trouble, Taylor said: "I want to thank the person who inspired this song. He knows exactly who he is and now I've got one of these."
It was assumed the 23-year-old singer was referring to ex-boyfriend Harry, 19, who was in the audience.
The One Direction star was asked about Taylor's comment at the This Is US New York premiere, and the heartthrob told Extra: "It's alright, she likes a joke. I like a joke as much as the next guy, so it's all good."
Harry was snapped after the awards with his ex and Ed Sheeran, who is supporting Taylor on her world tour.
Asked about it, Harry said: "Yeah, I went for a drink with Ed and some friends. It was good."
But Harry's bandmate Liam Payne agreed with the reporter when asked if he thought Taylor's musings were "lame".
Liam added: "I just thought it was a bit not needed. I mean, you just won an award. It's like, 'Concentrate on yourself!'"
