ITV1's Text Santa charity shows raised more than £4 million for good causes, it has been announced.
The pre-Christmas programmes - hosted by Phillip Schofield and Christine Bleakley - allowed viewers to make donations by sending a text message.
The shows raised a total of £4.12 million for charities such as Samaritans and Crisis, and children's hospitals including Great Ormond Street.
Phillip said: "I think that's a fantastic result. First time and over four million quid so it's just brilliant."
ITV's director of television Peter Fincham said: "To have raised over £4 million for charity in the first year of a brand new event is fantastic and I'd like to thank all those involved in Text Santa, but most importantly our viewers who have contributed generously to help a range of important causes."
