The Inbetweeners' Jay applies for Crystal Palace manager job with hilarious CV
The Inbetweeners' foul mouthed Jay Cartwright has applied for the vacant Crystal Palace manager job.
The shock departure of Tony Pulis after transfer policy rows left the London club in search of a new manager just two days before the new season.
Palace turned away from its preferred replacement Malky Mackay when the Scot became caught up in allegations of racism and homophobia brought by former club Cardiff. And former Tottenham boss Sherwood pulled out of the running after initially being deemed second-choice.
So with Steve Parish struggling to find the right man, Inbetweeners star James Buckley - a palace fan - stepped up with a CV from his sex-obsessed character, Jay.
He tweeted the club chairman: "Here’s my CPFC application @CEO4TAG something for you to look over".
On his CV, "Jay" says he won the Charity Shield four times as manager of Manchester United (on Football Manager) and the Premier League title as West Ham boss (Championship Manager).
He boasts of being able to "drink more than 10 pints of cider and still drive a car safely" and claims to have started a business with Rio Ferdinand called "Jay & Rio's Pussay Patrol Car Stereos".
Parish replied in good humour: "Excellent CV, working with rio on the stereo business is key, ability to manage big players, @rioferdy5 is it true?"
Neil Warnock is the current favourite to replace Tony Pulis at 4/7 on Paddy Power, with odds at 9/2 for Northern Irishman Neil Lennon.
