Titanic the musical to sail into Belfast

By Staff Reporter

Titanic the musical is stopping off in Belfast next year.

The show, which has won five Tony Awards, will run at the Grand Opera House from April 24-28.

In the final hour of April 14, 1912, the Belfast-built Titanic collided with an iceberg on her maiden voyage from Southampton to New York.

More than 1,500 people died in one of the most tragic naval disasters of the 20th century.

The show features music and lyrics by Maury Yeston. The book was written by Peter Stone. The pair have collectively won an Academy Award, an Emmy Award, an Olivier Award and three Tony Awards for their previous works.

The original Broadway production of the musical - based on the stories of real passengers - won five Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Best Score and Best Book.

Tickets are priced from £20.25 to £41.25 and are available by visiting
