The Little Miss Sunshine star and her husband Dave Galafassi, who already have a three-year-old daughter called Sage Florence, were delighted to welcome their new baby, who was born in Australia on Friday.

Toni's representative told People: "Toni Collette, her husband David and their daughter Sage are excited and proud to announce the arrival of their baby boy, Arlo Robert Galafassi.

"He was born on Good Friday making it the greatest Friday, indeed!"

The United States of Tara star was of course unable to attend the premiere of her new movie Jesus Henry Christ at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York City on Saturday.

Dennis Lee, the film's director, revealed on the red carpet: "She is doing well."

The movie, about a child genius who was conceived in a petri-dish and is determined to find his biological father, was executive-produced by Julia Roberts.
