TV stars mocked in BBC Two spoof

Harry Enfield and Paul Whitehouse are set to mock a host of on-screen names in their 50th birthday tribute to BBC Two.

Harry plays historian Simon Schama taking viewers through a spoof history of the channel in The Story Of The Twos, the Radio Times reported, due to air on BBC Two later this year.

He joked of the project: "BBC Two gave me my big solo break with Harry Enfield's Television Programme almost 25 years ago. They have been loyal to us over decades.

"We therefore felt it was only right that now we should stab BBC Two in the back!"

The pair insist that their sketches are all "affectionate", with Paul adding after an advance screening of the show: "There's not a single person or programme in the show that we don't like."

Stephen Fry, Blackadder, BBC creative director Alan Yentob, Monty Python, Mark Lawson and Lord Sugar all get a ribbing, the magazine reported, but the pair also take the mickey out of themselves.
