U2 concert cancelled due to 'security threat'
A U2 concert in Sweden was cancelled last night following a security threat.
Concertgoers had already taken their seats at The Globe venue in Stockholm when the gig was suddenly called off and thousands of fans were evacuated from the building.
A statement on the band's website last night said the gig was cancelled due to a "security breach".
Swedish media reported last night that police had arrested one man.
The statement said: "As the breach has not been resolved quickly and as audience safety is paramount, the police have advised The Globe and Live Nation that they have no option but to postpone tonight's show, to a rescheduled date of Tuesday, September 22."
The band was due to take to the stage as part of their 'Innocence and Experience' tour which comes to Ireland in November.
