U2 Experience + Innocence tour 2018: Irish rockers to play Belfast - report

Irish supergroup U2 could play Belfast in 2018 as part of their new world tour, it has been reported.

Music industry insiders told the Irish News Bono and co could return to the city for their Experience + Innocence tour.

The band are expected to announce tour dates in the coming weeks for the European leg of the tour and as well as Dublin they could make a return to the SSE Arena in Belfast.

The latest album Songs of Experience is a companion piece to the 2014 release Songs of Innocence. It toured Belfast for two dates in 2015.

The new tour kicks off in America on May 2.
