U2 star Adam Clayton has announced the birth of his daughter in a newspaper advertisement.
The musician and his wife Mariana welcomed the new arrival by placing a personal ad in the Irish Times.
The submission read: "Adam and Mariana Clayton are delighted to announce the birth of their beautiful baby girl Alba."
The couple have not released any further information about their child's birth.
Adam and Mariana wed in 2013 at a ceremony in Dublin.
The star had popped the question in Mariana's native Brazil that same year.
U2 frontman Bono revealed Adam and his wife were expecting a baby during a concert at London's Twickenham Stadium earlier this month.
He asked the audience: "Is Adam Clayton not a sexy man? Is your sexy woman here tonight?"
When Clayton nodded yes, Bono added: "And expecting a baby, can I say that?"
Clayton nodded his head no and Bono replied, "Okay, can't say that".
News of the new arrival comes days after U2 performed in front of 80,000 fans at Dublin’s Croke Park on Saturday night.
