Van Morrison to quiz BBC's Walter on jazz show

By Staff Reporter

BBC Radio Ulster's Jazz Club will come with a special twist this Sunday evening as special guest presenter Sir Van Morrison takes the hot seat to interview regular presenter Walter Love.

It will be more a case of Have I 'Asked' You Lately, as the legendary musician quizzes veteran broadcaster Walter about his lifelong love of jazz and his involvement in the Holywood Jazz Festival, among other things.

During the conversation, Walter shares tracks from his favourite artists, including Fats Waller, Ed Polcer, Eddie Lang and Louis Armstrong.

Walter revealed: "It was actually Van's idea to turn the spotlight on me this time and I think he enjoyed being the interviewer rather than the interviewee for a change. It was an unexpected pleasure to be sitting at the other side of the table from him, although I think I would prefer to be asking the questions rather than answering them!"
