Vicky Pattison and Ferne McCann 'signed up for more This Morning specials'

Vicky Pattison and Ferne McCann's chemistry proved such a hit with This Morning viewers that ITV bosses have reportedly lined the duo up for a new series of specials on the programme.

ITV bosses believe Vicky Pattison and Ferne McCann have "a big future" on This Morning.

The former Geordie Shore beauty and the ex The Only Way Is Essex starlet first became friends when they appeared on the last series of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!. This Morning bosses saw something in the duo and enlisted Ferne, who is also a frequent showbiz correspondent on the programme, and Vicky to star in an Italian road trip series.

Now it has been claimed the specials were so popular with viewers that This Morning executives are lining the pair up to star in a new series of specials.

According to the Daily Mirror, the girls could be seen heading as far afield as the South Pacific and Africa, where they would be going on safari.

"This Morning really believe they have a big future on the show," a source told the publication. "The initial series went down a storm and the bosses there are chomping at the bit to do more.

"The chemistry between the girls was the perfect mix of fun and true friendship that viewers and the production team loved."

Ferne and Vicky were seen travelling from Sorrento to Naples for The Only Way Is Amalfi Shore four-week series.

While they spent their time getting to know local customs and trying their luck at things such as making pizzas and milking buffalo, it was their deep and emotional chats that really struck a chord with viewers.

One such conversation saw the duo reveal they often struggle when their appearances are criticised by cruel internet trolls.

"You know what, Vic, I’m done. I’m so done, I don’t actually care any more," Ferne said at one point. "This whole body-shaming thing really gets my goat. Well, I’m sorry I’m not a size eight and I’m sorry that I’ve got cellulite.

"I look at you and see no flaws and no imperfections."

Clearly struggling to control her emotions, Vicky replied: "Don’t say that, man, I’ll cry. I’ve had a pretty rough time of it recently and I know you have as well but, mate, whenever you say you don’t like your body or you wish you looked different, it actually breaks my heart.

"I just want, across the board, women to empower one another."
