Vicky Pattison announces engagement to boyfriend John Noble

Vicky Pattison had thought boyfriend John Noble was going to break up with her, when in fact he was just gearing up to pop the question.

Vicky Pattison is engaged to boyfriend John Noble after just seven months of dating.

The former Geordie Shore star has been less than subtle about her desire to marry tailor John, frequently addressing a potential wedding in interviews.

And it seems like her hints paid off, as Vicky and John announced their engagement in OK! magazine on Monday (17Jul17).

Alongside a cover shot of herself and John, in which she can be seen grinning from ear-to-ear while flaunting her new 3.6-carat marquise-cut diamond ring, Vicky told the publication exactly how John popped the question in June.

"'I was spending a few days at John’s house, which is just outside Newcastle and surrounded by lovely countryside. One morning he suggested we take his dog Roxie out for a walk," Vicky said.

"I was playing with Roxie when she shook her head and got slobber all over my face. When I wiped it away, John was in front of me on one knee. I couldn’t believe it, I burst into tears. I said yes and then I looked at the ring and I was blown away, it was amazing."

The proposal was all the more surprising considering Vicky had been convinced John was going to break up with her, after a "difficult few weeks".

"I had been really busy with work and couldn’t make it to see him," she explained. "I was hoping he would come to see me (in Essex) but he kept saying he had too much on. It was so out of character for him that I started panicking, thinking he was going to finish things with me.

"I was crying to all my friends all the time and arguing with him on the phone because I was so sure he didn’t want to be with me anymore."

Luckily, it seems John was just plotting the final details of his romantic proposal.

The couple first started dating in November, 2016.
