Victoria Beckham's TV presenting skills receive mixed response
Victoria Beckham appeared on This Morning on Thursday (07Sep17) to reveal how to get her favourite autumnal look.
Victoria Beckham's presenting skills received mixed reviews from viewers of U.K. TV show This Morning on Thursday (07Sep17).
The former singer turned make-up maestro appeared on the programme to share with fans her tips on creating the perfect autumnal look, with smoky eyes and a nude lip.
"My favourite look would be a strong, smoky, sexy, classic eye," she said, before adding: "The secret to flawless skin is an illuminating primer. When I fly I always like to use a primer that moisturises, hydrates and gives a glowing feel. When I land at the airport and there's a lot of photographers, no different for me than anyone else. Everyone's got to be camera ready now because of their phones."
Victoria's make-up artist Wendy Rowe also joined in on the master class to demonstrate how to use vanilla-coloured eyeliner to make eyes pop, but even that wasn't enough to convince viewers she has a future in presenting.
"Please don't put @victoriabeckham make up tutorials on again they are as dull as dish water!" one wrote, while another added, "A slab of lard has more personality than Victoria Beckham."
Others came forward in defence of the former Spice Girls star, with one writing: "Well done @victoriabeckham - great useful little make up tutorial @thismorning #makeup #victoriabeckham #ThisMorning."
Another tweeted: "Well done @victoriabeckham new to presenting but did a good job."
Victoria, 43, also revealed during the segment that her must-have make-up item is a nude lipstick.
"I don't leave the house without my nude lipstick. I have them in every single one of my bags. I get a little obsessive!" she laughed. "I'm obsessed with a nude lip liner. I have to tell you, one day I was doing my shoot with Wendy and she forgot the lip liner."
"I misplaced it - that's all I'm going to say!" Wendy responded. "We managed to find it in the end though. I was going to call 999 but it was okay!"
