Watch: Country star Nathan Carter rocks mamas in maternity

By Staff Reporter

Country music singer Nathan Carter made a surprise visit to new mums and babies yesterday at Craigavon Area Hospital.

The star sang at the Blossom Children and Young People's Centre before heading to the maternity unit to sing Wagon Wheel to all the new "mamas" and babies.

He was launching the inaugural Shamrock Solstice Festival, which will be held at Shamrock Park, Portadown, on Saturday, June 23, sponsored by Stena Line. Craigavon Area Hospital is the nominated charity for this year's festival.

Nathan said: "What better way to congratulate new mums than to sing 'Rock Me Mama?!'

"I'm thoroughly looking forward to performing at Shamrock Solstice in June. It's always exciting to play at a festival which is the 'first' of its kind and Portadown is no exception."
