Watch: Donegal wedding gate crashed in the most surprising fashion

Newlyweds Brian and Olivia Stern were enjoying their first dance as husband and wife when they were interrupted in the most surprising way.

The couple were surrounded by their family and friends at Solis Lough Eske Castle in County Donegal when the 28th Infantry Battalion Pipe and Drum's Band made a surprise entrance during the couple's first dance to Van Morrison and the Irish Chieftains song Irish Heartbeat.

Olivia, from Kildress in County Tyrone, met US Navy man Brian when she moved to New York, and the two got married in a 'fairytale wedding'.

Maid of honour and sister of the bride Grace McCullagh said: "The whole day from start to finish was like a fairytale. People travelled as far as Armagh to see the military party all suited and booted. It was a very special day for everyone."

The video was captured by JC Media and published on their Facebook page with the caption: "Congratulations to the new Mr. & Mrs. Stern who tied the knot in Solis Lough Eske Castle last weekend.

"Such a pleasure to work with you both and thanks for having Martin and myself there to capture it all for you. Here's a wee clip of the 28th Infantry Battalion Pipe and Drum's Band crashing your 1st Dance in style. Hope you both have a long and happy life together."
