Watch: Irish groom and friends perform epic wedding dance

A Wexford groom gave his bride a fantastic surprise when he roped in ten of his best friends to perform an epic wedding dance.

Jimmy Whelan decided he wanted to give his new wife Ella something special on her wedding day, so he asked his groomsmen and a few of his friends if they would be willing to learn a dance routine.

From Bump 'N' Grind to Uptown Funk to Riverdance, the end result certainly took the wedding party through a whole spectrum of musical tastes and was met with huge cheers.

One of the willing dancers was Neil Merrigan, who told the Belfast Telegraph: "The idea was spawned by the best man Luke about a month ago and Jimmy Whelan, the groom rang ten of us to partake in the routine with him.

"Jimmy would be well known locally as a bit of a character so we thought it'd be a bit of craic for his wedding."

He added: "Jimmy's new wife Ella is from Poland originally and she and her family loved it. It got a great reaction - thankfully!"
