Watch: Irish priest leads impromptu dance during wedding ceremony

A priest in Co Galway has made one couple's big day extra special by organising an impromptu dance during the wedding ceremony.

Fr John O’Gorman was marrying Rois Lydon and Paudie Mannion earlier this month when he decided a dance was in order during a musical interlude.

He quickly pulled the bride up to dance with her father, before getting the groom paired up with his mother - and soon the bridesmaids and groomsmen were all getting in on the action.

With huge smiles from the wedding congregation, Fr John tells them: "If you can dance in a hotel, you can dance in a church."

The lovely moment was captured by Make My Day Productions and shared on to its Facebook page.

The video has since gone viral with over 500,000 views.

One Facebook user said of the post: "That is amazing - that is the way it should be!"

Another added: "This video is just lovely. Smiles all around from everyone, especially the bride and groom which is what it's all about.

"Well done to that lovely priest who has made memories for this family to cherish and made the rest of us smile."
